Zombie-O-Rama 09 HUGE success

The zombie panic has left the streets of downtown San Jose and things have returned to normal (as boring as that might be). We here at Zombie-O-Rama HQ (otherwise known as the SLG Publishing Boutiki & Gallery) want to thank everyone who came out and supported this event. Assuming the city of San Jose does not ban zombies from its streets, this will happen again at some point next year. The event wound up being a great boon for the Second Harvest Food Bank, we collected lots of canned goods.

My undead (I mean untrained) eyes put the attendance at somewhere in the 500 person range. A more trained person put it at somewhere close to a thousand. However many people there were the folks here at SLG all want to make this a regular, annual event and set our sites on the record set in Seattle of 4,000 plus.

We would be remiss if we didn't thank the good people at the San Jose Downtown Association who let us turn their movie night into a circus. Much to their credit they did a lot to make this possible and ran a lot of interference when the cops panicked.

If you were hoping to get a Zombie-O-Rama shirt when we ran out, fear not. We are making more and will be offering them up for sale on our website.

Thanks a lot again. Keep your eyes on this site or this blog for updates on the next event (we will be doing a small vampire themed blood drive at some point in the fall).
